Cake Stories
Thursday was a bit of a celebration. That morning I had done an important test and got a really good result, so naturally I had to reward myself with a sweet treat!
My mum and I went to a little family run coffee house & cakery called Cake Stories in Jesmond. Mum had a coffee but I went all out and got the Messy Oreo Monster Cake and a lemonade to wash it down.
They weren't lying when they called it a Monster! The filling was very sweet but the cake itself was just right - you can't really go wrong with Oreos!
I'm definitely interested to try some more from here. The staff were very friendly and the café has a really nice feel to it, a little rustic and cosy with artfully mismatched chairs and hanging lights. It's not just for sweet treats either - the breakfast and lunch options all look really tempting! I'll be back there soon for sure.
